TPS string section play Elgar, Holst and Bach outside!

On 10th October 2020, 25 of the orchestra’s string section managed to meet and play together for an hour for the first time since March, in blustery autumnal conditions. Following Covid guidelines set out by DCMS and Making Music, masks were worn by everyone, seats were set out 2 metres apart, and a one way system was set in place. The chosen venue was the outside marquee in the grounds of Tonbridge Juddians Rugby Club, and passers by were treated to a play through of Elgar’s Serenade for Strings, Holst’s Holberg Suite and Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3.
